In my experience, high blood pressure in cats is usually due to underlying conditions such as kidney disease, or thyroid issues. But perhaps in your kitty's case, it is something to do with the AIDS? Anyway, I have a couple of suggestions: firstly:homeopathic remedies - Belladonna is the remedy for dilated pupils, particularly when associated with sudden, and/or feverish symptoms. I would recommend trying Belladonna 200C twice daily for 2 days.
But if your cat has high blood pressure, I would also recommend the homeopathic Crataegus. Get this in 30C potency, and give 3 times daily for a couple of weeks, then have his bp checked and maybe reduce to twice daily. Before any of this treatment though, I would suggest you get some BAch flower remedies for your cat. Rescue Remedy first; give this 2-3 times for one day. This is to help his emotions. You can get other remedies for helping him adjust to losing his best friend, if that is a problem.
Also - hope you are supporting his immune system which is under attack by the AIDS virus - Vitamin C, colostrum etc
