sick hamster-can anyone help

I just got a Europ male and today I noticed something is wrong. There were crusties around his eyes and not to be gross but poop stuck in his anis. I removed the poop and he started going like crazy. I wiped his eyes clean and had him drink some fresh water. Now he's been pooping while sleeping and when I picked him up he yawned then curled into a ball and went back to sllep in my hand. He has never done that. He also feels very warm. Can anyone help?
