odd behavior

my hamster got stuck in a tube leading from an upper compartment of her cage to the bottom of the cage. i had to break the tube in order to get her out. she seemed traumatized for about two days, moving very slowly and sitting still and staring into space. she returned to normal, but i decided to get her a new cage where the tube was not as long. however, after a day of being in the new cage, she stuffed food into the pouches of her mouth, but more full than she has ever before. her cheeks look painfully large, but she is extremely hyperactive and climbing all around the cage and biting frantically to try and get out. she won't remove the food from her pouches. does anyone have any similar experiences to this????
