Antibiotics take awhile to work. The most important sign of recovery will be routine eating and drinking. If she is able to drink water by herself, that alone gives you some hope for recovery. Since you do not mention age, it's hard to tell if this is an old age illness. Best you can do is make sure the hamster has some warmth (avoid cold rooms), a quiet, dimly lit stress-free area in the house, and easy access to water. I hope this helps your friend.
