3 year old hamster-Charlie

My 3 year old hamster, Charlie, was fine this morning when I went to church. When I got home, he was lying on his side in his cage and his hands and feet were trembling rapidly. I picked him up and he continues to be listless and trembly. He opens his eyes every once in a while and archs his back and throat and squeaks. His body feels a little cool. What is wrong with Charlie? What can I do for Charlie?
