Weezing Lab?

I am really worried about my Chocolate Lab. For some reason, only at night for the last few nights, he has been having these episodes of a sort of weezing. It almost sounds as if he is a human trying to clear his throat. It only happens at night, but when it does happen, the last few nights, it is progressively getting seemingly worse. When he does do this, his whole body shakes and he has to get up and walk around, but when he lays back down, it may start up again. It almost sounds like he has a hair ball but he's a dog . . . these episodes may last for a few minutes, then he calms down, but i can tell that it hurts him a bit . . . What do you think it might be? What can I do? Please Help!
