: Craig, thank you so much for taking time to reply. The diagnosis was confirmed twice as osteocarcinoma, the tumor is in the left hind leg. Our area is rural so not much in the way of holistic or homeopathic services are available, thank God for the internet. The website you referred me to earlier (Holistic Animal Medicines) replied with an eight product package that seems to contain much of what you just offered. Are you familiar with it? Again, I thank you for becoming involved with my dog's situation, he sends you wet sloppy kisses!

: : To get the most successful outcome I would really recommend a combination of homeopathy, herbs and nutritional supplementation. This gives your dog the best chance. Also, if there is a lesion and/or tumour reasonably close to the surface of the limb, I would recommend the blood root salve from Buck Mountain Botanicals. It's powerful stuff, but I've seen it work. They have a website; you can google it and read the testimonials.
: : Before anything though, please switch your dog over to a raw, natural diet, so the body has the best chance of fighting the cancer. NO more chemicals - eg vaccinations, commercial wormers, heartworm, flea treatment etc - it's too much for the immune system to handle.
: : As far as nutrients go, I would recommend you start your dog on high doses of Vitamin C. Use Sodium or Calcium Ascorbate powder, and work on one gram daily for every 15 pounds bodyweight. Give in divided doses. If your dog gets loose stools, cut back slightly, but try and maintain a high dose. (Refer to Dr Pitcairn's book for further info).
: : Herbs: you can go to a herbalist and get a human cancer mix; it will work fine for dogs. Should include a liver support as well. Or the Sheep Sorrel formula - again, standard herbal cancer combo. Regarding homeopathics: please could you confirm Jay that it is Osteocarcinoma your dog has, and not osteosarcoma? Just need to make sure; then I will advise which homeopathics to use.
: : This may all sound like too much, but believe me, it is worth it and you can get the whole treatment down to a fine art! - wont take very long at all! And at the very least your dog will remain as well as possible and not have to suffer the terrible effects of chemo. /radiation.

: : Which products have you had luck with? Which products would you not bother with? I really appreciate the help. : Yes, there are homeopathic, herbal & nutritional treatments available; with some success, in my experience. It's reasonably 'common' unfortunately condition which holistic animal practitioners deal with; if you have no holistic (and I mean, truly holistic and trained in this area
