Re: golden afraid of storms

Some of the flower essences work well: the Bach flower Rescue remedy is good for the fear/shock associated- you have to give a couple of drops every five minutes until she calms down. In anticipation of bad weather, fireworks etc, get the Bach flower combo Mimulus and Rock Rose, and give a few doses of this before the event - even put some drops in her water/food - this can help lessen the impact on the poor dog. These are things you can get over the counter, but if you have access to a homeopath, then Phosphorus 200C or 1M is the remedy to ask for, and give as above.
Best of luck

: We have a golden retriver about 5 years old that is an out side dog. When it thunders she tries to get into the house by ripping at the back door. She is afraid of gun shots, thunder, and fire works. What I am woundering is there any thing that I buy over the counter to help keep her calm?
