Abdominal infection

my 7 year old cat only ate half her tea on Saturday night, and looked to get off the washing machine a bit gingerly. By Sunday we knew she wasn't well, and thought she might have strained herself so I gave her three Arnica pilules. We kept her inside and noticed her weeing every hour, so we thought a urinary tract infection. We got her to the vet on Monday and he gave her penisillun by injection and said she is very sick, and dehydrated, and lost condition. This happened quickly cos it's been 38 and 43 degrees in Adelaide all week. We took her home and started hydrating her every half hour with electrolytes, but she is very weak and still not eating. We waited for the penisillun to get her temperature down being New Year's Eve and public holiday, and it has, and we have managed to hydrate her, but she is still very weak. She is still weeing and not hourly now. Blood tests have shown high white cell count, and high infection markers, but no specific organ failure. We have her on chicken broth and the xray today showed cloudiness (infection) in her abdomen, and the vet has diagnosed peritonitis. We have managed to capture wee and there is light blood in it. We are doing everything we can. I take homeopathy myself, and so do my animals when injured are there any remedies that can help her in this acute state? Help! Sharon
