It's probably too late for this but you should be aware that most "all-purpose" saddles have a flap and this flap is going to be a problem for you in jumping.

If you are getting a new saddle for your horse, and if you want to jump it, go for the jumping saddle. The jumping saddle WILL work for dressage.



: I'm pretty new at riding and don't have a lot of money to spend. I think I want to do some dressage but my friend tells me I really ought to do start jumping too.
