Gelding acting bad after movePosted by Julie (209.216.186.172) on February 01, 2006 at 20:03:57: I have a 12 yr old gelding who is acting badly. I bought him from someone who had him for 11 years. The prior owner told me he would be good for a beginner which I was, he clips, loads etc great, listens well, rides well etc. Well I moved him to another place to have him boarded and he was there for about 3 months and during that time he would rear up and strike occasionally at the people who were feeding him. Well I just moved him again as we are moving and I was just told that he went through a fence, and reared up, and was acting out. The only thing she could think of was that she has a mare who is in heat and maybe he is reacting to that, but I don't know if there was a mare at the other place he acted up at. What else could be causing him to act like this? I really am not experienced enough to be able to know what the heck is going on! Any ideas? I appreciate any ideas you may have. Thank you Follow Ups:
