You don\'t say how long you\'ve had him but he would have had to be moved to your place when you purchased him, yet you don\'t indicate that there was any problem with that move or with his stay , only with the second and third move. The reason given for the problematic behavior at the third place may be due to the fact that there was a mare in heat. If so,then the answer as to why there was a problem at the second place may lie in finding out what occurred at the second boarding place while your horse was there. What may have happened there could explain much and may even possibly account for the continuation of the problem at the third place. What is the history of this horse? If this behavior has only recently occurred then there is something that has happened recently that could be triggering it. What do you know about the second place? Did you come to choose it based on how reputable it was or more for its close proximity to where you live? Are there painted surfaces or something else in the food or environment that could have triggered an allergic reaction resulting in unexplained fits of erratic behavior? Some horses do not take moves well and during moves may injure themselves in a way that is inperceptible to the eye but could result in something that is pinched or out of alignment. To rule out that possibility , consider having your horse checked by a vet experienced in chiropractic and acupuncture. Because there are numerous reasons that could explain your horse\'s behavior you would have to systematically rule out each possibility by process of elimination. As one person said \" We know that mental and emotional upsets in humans can have deep and lasting physical effects, far beyond what used to be referred to as \"psychosomatic illness.\" Animals too, have an active mental and emotional life. and can manifest behavioral and physical problems that have their roots in emotional trauma. \" Three moves within a short period of time could constitute a form of trauma. It would help to find one reputable place for the longterm. Rescue Remedy and Cherry Plum( a Bach Flower Essence) may help. Available at any health food store. Ten drops on the horse\'s tongue, as needed. Alternate , if using more than one. It can also be added to the drinking water. But unless the underlying cause of your horse\'s behavior is found , there may be a continuation of the behavior you see. According to what you have said, there was no problem with this horse until he was moved to the second place.
