MBD Iguana!

My iguana has been very sick lately. I took her to the vet today, and I found out that she has a severe case of MBD. My vet said that she did not recommend me to give her treatment, (it is a painless disease and she is likely to die, regardless of the treatment). However, I felt that I needed to do something. So, I have to give my iguana shots everyday and force feed her. I am wondering if anyone else ever experienced this, if the iguana lived, what the chances are that she will live, how quickly she will improve (or not), etc. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
