Red Lump in corner of eye

My 4 yr old female shepard mix has a red tumor like looking thing in the corner of her eye closest her nose. It developed in a short time, about a week. It looked like a pimple and I waited to see if it would develope a head or drain. When it did look like it had a head, I squeezed it a bit, and i pulled out a long white strand almost like a long hair. after that it drained over two days on its own, and seemed it be going away. It now seems it be returning. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
